MAMIL FILM SCREENING
October saw Dubai’s cycling community turn out for the Dubai premier of ‘MAMIL’ - Middle Aged Men in Lycra. Over 150 people turned out over 2 nights to watch the 90 minute documentary film. Also at the event was the films director, Nick Bird, who took part in a Q&A after each screening. The events were the first for Warehouse Four’s new pop-up cinema initiative - Film@Four.
CALL OF DUTY WWII - MIDDLE EAST LAUNCH
UAE gamers had the unique opportunity to get some face time with one of the worlds most popular game developers, Call Of Duty. Power League Gaming (PLG) and Activision with Red Entertainment worked on the launch of the newest Call of Duty WWII. With over 30 different media outlets, journalists, YouTubers and content creators, the launch event hosted David Swenson, Lead Sound Designer and Audio Designer at Sledgehammer Games.
GUY PRATT is THE SIDEMAN
December saw English musician-turned comedian, Guy Pratt, bring his one man comedy show, 'The Sideman' to Dubai for a special one off performance. Over 100 eager comedy lovers and Pink Floyd fans saw Guy regale fans with a series of hilarious tales of life on the road with Pink Floyd and other other big music industry giants.
November continued a busy month at Warehouse Four with the third edition of ‘Targeting Tomorrow’. An Omnicom Media Group MENA initiative, the event put the spotlight on some of best marketing practices in a data and technology era. Over 150 people attended the forum which explored innovations and techniques such as tag management analytics, cross-channel and cross-device tracking, chatbots, viewability issues and ad fraud.
WSF VIDEO SHOOT
It's not every day we get a bunch of exotic sports cars through the doors of Warehouse Four but this November we certainly got everyone's heads turning, especially our neighbors! A VW, Porsche and Maclaren all made their debut in the venue, as the team from White Space Factory set about capturing some stunning visuals. We're looking forward to seeing the finished results!
YSL 'VINYL' LAUNCH PARTY
October saw the French luxury fashion house, Yves Saint Laurent , take over Warehouse Four for the launch of their new 'Vinyl' cream lipstick. Over 200 bloggers, influencer's and fashionista's attended a 'vinyl' inspired party, complete with live band, DJ, food & drinks and the obligatory product sampling!
ILEA 4th inspiration sessions
The latest edition of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) Inspiration Sessions brought together three unique forums from three key areas of the events industry - a social media director, a representative from DTCM and a panel of security experts. Over 50 industry professionals saw the sessions introduced and moderated by one of the UAE best known motivational speakers Dave Crane, The Life Designer.
August saw some of Dubai's best food trucks park up inside Warehouse Four for the month. Open daily from 8am - 11pm with live music at weekends, the Hangry Hangar concept proved to be a fantastic success all round. Look out for them again next year!
AJ PLUS LAUNCH PARTY
June was a big month for Warehouse Four as the venue played host to the launch of AJ Plus. Around 120 guests attended the event, which saw the venue transformed into a multimedia 'arena' with the evening activities broadcast live via Facebook. However, the highlight of the night was the surprise appearance of Bassem Youssef, the man dubbed as the 'Jon Stewart of the Middle East'.
June saw one of Dubai's top catering companies, Dish Catering, team up with Warehouse Four for the holy month of Ramadan. Entitled 'Ramadan Nights', Dish transformed the venue into a pop-up restaurant, complete with open kitchen serving Iftar every night. The signature dish was an eight-hour slow roasted spiced shoulder of lamb with saffron labneh and scented rice pilaf. And if that doesn't make your mouth water, nothing will! MUSIC VIDEO SHOOT
July saw CollectiveBKP take over Warehouse Four to shoot a new music video for local Dubai based hip hop trio, The Recipe. Filming started early morning and thanks to well prepped production team, wrapped up by early evening. That must be some kind of record for a music video production!
AXE: BRING THE QUIET
March saw Warehouse Four play host to its first music workshop, courtesy of AXE and organised by experimental marketing company, Sweetwater. Twenty competition winners enjoy three days with legendary UK music producer, Martin Glover, as the culmination of the AXE: Bring The Quiet marketing campaign.
